PROJECT country - Bulgaria became an EIFL project country in 2009. The EIFL-OA programme has been working in partnership with Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Institute of Mathematics and Informatics with the launch of the 3-year, OpenAIRE project and continues with the launch in December 2011 of OpenAIREplus. OpenAIREplus will work in tandem with OpenAIRE, extending the mission further to facilitate access to the entire Open Access scientific production of the European Research Area. Learn more. Visit the OpenAIRE project site.

In 2011, Lyuben Karavelov Regional Library in Ruse became one of our Public Library Innovation Programme (PLIP) Phase 2 grantees, which replicate innovative services created in PLIP Phase 1.

Lyuben Karavelov Regional Library will create an employment and skills training service for people over 40 years of age. This project is among 14 public libraries selected to replicate services created in the first phase of EIFL-PLIP. This service replicates the award-winning ‘Creative Minds Create Job Opportunities service’ of Public Library Braka Miladinovci, in Radovis, Macedonia. Read more about Creative Minds Create Job Opportunities.
