Iryna Kuchma, EIFL's Open Access ProgrammeManager, has joined the Open Access Button Steering Committee.

The Open Access Button is a browser book marklet that allows people to report when they hit a paywall and cannot access a research article. The Open Access Button was (blog.openaccessbutton.org/2013/11/18/students-launch-button-to-put-denied-access-to-research-on-the-map) launched by two undergraduates from Great Britain in November 2013 and has already recorded 6622 paywall hits worldwide.

The Steering Committee will provide long term perspective to the project and will serve as a guide to the international student team that runs the Open Access Button.
