
Ramune Petuchovaite, Manager of the EIFL Public Library Innovation Programme (EIFL-PLIP), will present a case study at a satellite meeting of the 2026 International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) World Library and Information Congress (WLIC). The congress is themed ‘Libraries Powering Transformation’.
On 8 August, ahead of the main conference, Ramune will present a case study at the IFLA Information Literacy Section's satellite meeting. The meeting is themed ‘Information Literacy in a Disrupted Information Ecosystem: AI, Misinformation, and Trust’, and Ramune’s paper, co-authored with Ugne Lipeikaite, EIFL-PLIP Impact Manager, focuses on equipping students with critical information literacy skills in the age of AI and misinformation. The case study is based on the experience of implementing the ‘Digital Learning @ Ghana Public Libraries’ project.
In addition, Ramune will participate in a satellite meeting on 7 August, titled, 'Transforming Social Connections through Libraries’ and in the main conference.
