EIFL in Senegal

EIFL has been working in Senegal since 2003. We supported the creation of the Consortium des Bibliothèques de l’Enseignement Supérieur du Sénégal (COBESS), and through this partnership, libraries in Senegal are providing access to a wide-range of scholarly e-resources.

In Senegal, EIFL has supported open access awareness raising and advocacy workshops that have resulted in the launch of open access repositories.

We have also provided training and a support service to raise awareness of library copyright issues, and to assist with copyright questions. We are currently supporting national implementation of the Marrakesh Treaty for persons with print disabilities.
