EIFL in Zambia

EIFL has been working in Zambia since 2001. We supported the creation of the Zambia Library Consortium (ZALICO), and through this partnership, libraries in Zambia are providing access to a wide range of scholarly e-resources.

In Zambia, EIFL has advocated for revisions to the national copyright law to enable libraries to better meet the needs of their end users.

EIFL has also engaged with public libraries in Zambia resulting in an innovative pilot project that is helping libraries to meet the information needs of their communities.
