Seventeen trainers from public libraries in Namibia will attend two EIFL workshops on the topics, how to evaluate new public library services (two days), and communications and advocacy (two days).

The 17 trainees were selected by Namibia Library and Archives Service (NLAS) to become trainers within the NLAS network of 65 public libraries. They will pass on their learning and skills to other librarians in the NLAS network.

The service evaluation skills training is organized in collaboration with the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), and will be led by EIFL Public Library Innovation Programme Manager Ugne Lipeikaite and IFLA Member Engagement Officer Kristine Paberza.

The workshop is part of a major initiative being implemented by EIFL and NLAS to strengthen continued professional development of public librarians in Namibia.
