We will attend the inaugural Assembly of the Marrakesh Treaty for persons with print disabilities that entered into force on 30 September 2016, and will celebrate the achievement with colleagues and friends from the international copyright community. The Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights (SCCR), where EIFL advocates for an international treaty for libraries and archives, reports on its work that includes limitations and exceptions for libraries and archives.

During the Assemblies, we will have an opportunity to meet with high level government delegates from EIFL partner countries who are concerned with copyright issues.

EIFL also looks forward to introducing ourselves to the newly appointed WIPO Deputy Director General (DDG), Copyright and Creative Industries Sector, Ms Sylvie Forbin.

EIFL has accredited observer status at WIPO.
