
We are delighted to name four winners of the 19th EIFL Public Library Innovation Award, for Public libraries that include STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics) activities in their services and programmes.
Congratulations to –
- Shanghai Children’s Library in China for their ‘STEM Whiz Kids’ programme which engages children aged from three to six in science and technology learning activities.
- Biblioteca de Empresas Públicas de Medellín (Biblioteca EPM) in Colombia for their STEAMLab programme and robotics club that is inspiring future engineers.
- Rijeka City Library in Croatia for their technology, science and art programme that is stimulating and nurturing youth creativity and innovation in Croatia.
- Woodhurst Public Library in South Africa that demystifies science and mathematics for young students through their STEM Makers practical digital skills programme.
The EIFL Public Library Innovation Award includes a prize of US$1,500, a certificate and a trophy.

The EIFL Public Library Innovation Awards recognize innovative library services and programmes that use ICT to improve lives and livelihoods in developing and transition countries.
