This checklist aims to support event organizers in planning and delivering effective and engaging hybrid events. Hybrid events — meetings, workshops, conferences, and other events that combine in-person and online participation — are becoming increasingly common. They offer many advantages, but also require careful planning, coordination and significant human and technical resources.

The checklist covers key tasks and issues to take into account when organizing a hybrid event. It covers, planning and coordination, technical infrastructure, communication with participants and speakers, moderation, audience engagement, accessibility, and post-event follow-up. It can be adapted to suit different types and sizes of events.

The idea for the checklist emerged during EIFL online meet-ups for open science trainers, and participants in the meet-ups also contributed to shaping its content.
