The guest speaker was Toby Bainton, who was Senior Policy Adviser at Information Sans Frontières, an alliance representing public cultural heritage institutions during negotiations on the Directive.

The webinar explained orphan works and the issues for libraries, discussed key provisions of the Directive, some problem areas, and advised on favourable implementations for EIFL partner countries that are bound by the Directive through EU membership, and those that may be required to apply the Directive through EU free trade agreements. The webinar finished with a Q&A session.
