This PowerPoint presentation, that includes notes for trainers, is designed to help public librarians to train teenagers to use WhatsApp, one of the most popular messaging apps in the world, safely and effectively. The target group for the training is teenagers aged 12-18 who already have basic mobile phone skills. 

The notes for trainers guide librarians (trainers) in presenting the PowerPoint presentation to learners. The training is designed to be completed in approximately 90 minutes, but it can be adjusted for shorter or longer periods. Librarians can use the slides as they are or adapt them as needed for different learner groups.

The presentation, compiled by Ugne Lipeikaite, EIFL Public Library Innovation Programme Impact Manager, is based on the GSMA Mobile Internet Skills Training Toolkit. It is divided into three sections:

• Icebreaker Activity: Engage participants and set the tone for an interactive session.
• Training on Safe and Effective Use of WhatsApp: Training groups to use WhatsApp's features safely and effectively.
• Practice Activities: Three hands-on activities to reinforce learning and try out new skills.
